Tom Cave in the Proton Satria Neo Super2000

So who’s Tom Cave?

Tom, an 18 year old teenager from Wales, is UK’s first minor international rally driver. He has secured and will be running his privately owned Proton Satria Neo Super2000 rally car for selected rounds of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC). He is supported by the official Proton R3 Rally team and will run alongside the team though independently.

In 2009, Tom contested ten rallies across Europe, including events forming part of the British and Latvian national championships, the FIA World Rally Championship and the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. Tom won in his class on three of the final four rallies he contested in.

Tom will contest the second part of the IRC and while his own team of technicians will be on hand to run his car, he will be based within the Proton team service area. That should be interesting.

The more the merrier as they say. It is going to be quite an exciting time at the rally for the rest of the year.
