Question to Giandomenico Basso
As a former Sanremo winner what does it take to be successful on this event?

GB: “I can’t unveil what the secret is to win here because all the other drivers will do that. But on this rally it’s very important to maintain concentration all the time.”

Question to Giandomenico Basso
Rallye Sanremo features the 44-kilometre Ronde stage, which is run at night. Can you describe what that’s like and how hard is driving at night?

GB: “The car improved in comparison to previous races but still it’s a very difficult stage, driving by night with so many turns is very tough even though we do the stage before in pieces.”

Question to Giandomenico Basso
You have a new team-mate in Chris Atkinson for this rally. What’s he like to work with and what can he bring to the PROTON team?

GB: “PG’s not here, which is a shame but I’m pleased with Chris, we’re getting along very well and there are no problems. And it’s great to have a team-mate like him, a real good champion.”
